Castles in Texas

Yes, there are Castles in Texas and you should visit them!  Texas, the Lone Star State, has a wealth of architectural styles for all different tastes including many wonderful castles and chateaux.  Castle museums, castle tours, castle weddings, castle vacation rentals – the choice is yours.

One of our favorite quirky castle choices in Texas has to be Newman's Castle in Bellville, Texas – built and owned by Mike Newman of Newman's Bakery.  If you're looking to get married in a castle, that's certainly one to consider in Texas especially as Mr Newman has stayed pretty faithful to medieval castle designs by including a huge working drawbridge (there aren't many of those in America) portcullis, five turrets and a towering keep providing wonderful views of the surrounding area.

Whilst we've searched high and low for Texan castles, if you know of one, live in one, own one, rent one or work in one which should be on this website but isn't, please let us know and we can add it straightaway.
