Ripley's Castle (Castle Warden), St. Augustine, Florida is the home of Ripley's Believe it or Not – a tourist attraction/museum exhibiting bizarre, strange and unusual things from around the world.
The concept was created by Robert Ripley, a radio broadcaster who collected oddities during his travels around the globe. After first experiencing the Moorish-style castle during a stay there when it was a hotel, Ripley was able to subsequently purchase the property in the 1940s, transforming in to the first of many Believe it or Nots!
In addition to its use as a museum of oddities, the castle is the centerpiece for Ripley's Haunted Castle Investigation where visitors receive 'first-hand training and hands-on experience in paranormal investigation, taking you inside the most haunted building on the Southeastern Seaboard! See for yourself what’s haunting Ripley’s Castle Warden'.
