Melrose Castle, Virginia

 

Melrose, commonly known as Melrose Castle in Casanova, Fauquier County, Virginia is a private gothic revival home built in the mid 1800s.  The castle was built by two brothers who named it after Melrose Abbey – a historic building in their ancestral homeland of Scotland.

 

Melrose Castle is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
