Santa's Candy Castle is a unique castle-like candy store and gift shop in the town of Santa Claus, Indiana. Yes, you read that right!
Established in 1935, the candy store is a beacon to visitors from all over the United States and beyond – keen to visit a candy store inside an American castle but also attracted by the fascinating story of the town of Santa Claus itself.
The 'History' page of the Candy Castle website does a great job of telling the story of both the town and the store but suffice to say that a 1930s feature on the town by Robert Ripley's 'Believe it or Not' newsletter was a turning point in the fortunes of the town and some enterprising residents decided to make the most of this nationwide coverage.
