Nemacolin Castle (Bowman's Castle), Brownsville, Pennsylvania is the 'third oldest castle in the United States' according to its website. Now owned by Fayette County and open for tours and special events, the property was built in 1789 for the Bowman family (the only family to have ever lived there).
In addition to public tours of the castle and private tours (for groups of 10 by appointment), the castle opens its door at various times during the year for special events including a 'Haunted Castle' season during the autumn and as a 'Christmas Past' attraction during the festive period.
